Living Reincarnation

What in tarnation?  Living reincarnation? 

This Phenomenon has been happening more and more of late.  It is important for you to be aware in case you or someone near you experiences it.  The symptoms can include the following:  life no longer looks the same; old ways of doing things don’t work any more; interests shift; personality may appear to be more open or more thoughtful if the person had been closed or reactionary; the person chooses different colors of clothing; the person feels disoriented and at a loss as to what to do.

Certainly, there may be some health issues that can create some of the above symptoms.  Ruling health issues out, the person may be experiencing Living Reincarnation.  Living Reincarnation occurs when one’s soul learns the lessons it came here to learn and there is a strong willingness for spiritual advancement.  In the past a person getting to this point might experience a near death trauma, which would propel them into viewing their whole lives differently and responding to life in a different way. 

Now, souls are advancing rapidly and the need to die or nearly die is no longer necessary for soul advancement.  The reincarnation process allows the soul to return to source so that it may review its life experiences (life passing before their eyes) to really learn the lessons.  So many on a spiritual learn their lessons while living.  The soul does not have to perish and review life experiences for them to “get” it.  Once the soul gets it – whether the person realizes it or not – the soul is ready to move on and take on the next level of awareness – soul advancement.

It is the readiness of the soul that generates the Living Reincarnation.  It’s like a reset switch.  The person is reset.  This brings them into a childlike place, which can be disorienting.  A person might have liked to manipulate others to get what they want and no longer finds joy in it and even though they can, they would like to live differently.  Not knowing any other way of dealing with people other than manipulation, they have to start over with being clear and being real.  Very uncomfortable!  Very disconcerting!  This will be a great blessing to them if they can break old habits.  It will be a great blessing to those around them, if they can pull it off. 

It is important to note here that on a conscious level, one may not WANT to change.  The old way WAS working for them.  In our previous example, a person may not want to stop manipulating because it works.  But the soul is ready to move beyond that and so it will not allow the person to use their manipulation skills effectively.  So, when the person tries to manipulate someone, the soul sabotages those efforts.  Others see through to the real motive.  The real motive is selfishness.  The advancing soul will not allow them to function that way any more.  This can be very frustrating and confusing for our person who is experiencing Living Reincarnation.  I want it EASY!!!  I want what I want, when I want it!  WAAAAAH!

If one has always just been the workhorse at work while others slack off, the soul will no longer allow that behavior.  You will be required to do an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay – you will not be allowed to become a slacker like the others.  Yet, you will no longer be allowed to give your life force away!  If you’re the slacker, you will feel an unrest at work and fidgety, looking for something to do.  Slacking off will become very uncomfortable!  That soul will also require an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay.  It used to be EASY to sacrifice myself.  Now, it’s not working!  Yikes!  I can’t stop, what do I do!?!

If one has always buried their wishes while they make everyone else’s world okay, they will not be allowed to continue that pattern.  It will be against the soul’s purpose and they will be unable to keep that up.  Health issues may come up or anger may rise to the surface.  Sacrificing one’s self needlessly will no longer be on the menu.  A balance will be required by the soul.  Service for equal service.  End of story.  The soul will not allow its owner to do it the same old way!  Oh, my!

The soul is a very strong force.  It is our life force.

If you are questioning whether or not you are experiencing the phenomenon of Living Reincarnation, there are a couple of questions one can ask one’s self.  First of all, what are the two main key archetypical roles I may have been playing throughout my life up to this point?  Victim?  Rescuer?  Neat Freak?  Wild Child?  Lost Child?  Rebel?  Dutiful Servant?  Super Mom?  Invisible Man?  Irritable One?  Sickly One?  Master?  Be totally honest with yourself on this one.  It may help to ask, “How do others see me?”  Do they see me as a Workaholic?  A Super Sensitive Person?  Defensive?  What is the biggest complaint others have of me? 

That is the part of you that is changing.

The next question to ask is, “Who am I becoming?”  If you are not who you think you used to be, who are you now?  If you can put it into archetypical terms, that symbolism really speaks to the soul.  Often this archetype is the flip side of the coin that you used to be.  Instead of Neat Freak, one can become Peaceful in One’s Surroundings.  This doesn’t mean that a person has to turn into a Slob – that’s a whole other archetype.  What it means is that one no longer has to struggle with maintaining a false sense of security by attempting to control the things in one’s surroundings. One can become peaceful.  They may still choose to pick up clutter, yet they won’t have to make it a contest or a struggle.  If others are less than neat, the advancing soul can find ways to hold others accountable for their actions while maintaining peace in their soul and gaining peace of mind.

Just this morning, my husband and I were talking about how we have both been really irritable lately.  We’ve been going through a lot of changes and under deadlines for those changes.  Instead of being the Irritable One, we can choose to be The Grateful One.  This will allow us both to accept and allow rather than becoming short-tempered.  Just making that thought-change has really helped both of us already!  Whether we are experiencing a Living Reincarnation or not, this process is highly valuable in the everyday life.

Here are some archetypes and their possible counterparts:
Victim – Self-Actualized One
Rescuer – Observer
Wild Child – Elf (playful without the need to shock or receive rejection)
Lost Child – Guide (find your own way and then help others find their way)
Dutiful Servant – Partner
Super Mom – Alchemist
Invisible Man – Seeker
Sickly One – Healer
Master – Leader
Perhaps you can find alternate counterparts for these archetypes.  Perhaps you can discover different archetypes that may be presenting themselves for your review at this time.

So, let’s say you are experiencing a Living Reincarnation.  Now what?!?

Now, you get to be veeeeeerrrrrry gentle with yourself.  Just as a small child can become frightened in the big, wide world, take care to pray or meditate for direction and guidance.  Perhaps it’s possible to seek out someone who seems to have things together and spend time with them.  Just being around a stable soul helps the re-born soul through this transition phase. 

This time of self-exploration and self-discovery is the transition time.  This transition phase is the hardest.  The good news is, you are still alive and don’t have to be born and physically start over and learn to feed yourself all over again.  You already know how to walk and talk, so those tasks are already handled.  Having those skills accomplished certainly helps the transition period go more smoothly.

Note:  The Christian Ceremony of Baptism automatically puts one into this Living Reincarnation process.  Past Karma (sins) are removed and the soul is ready to take on a new phase of learning.  There is a whole spiritual process leading to baptism that brings one to understanding about the past and releasing it while taking on a new, reinstated place of restored spiritual innocence.  Baptism is a deep subject and involves more than the simplistic “Jesus died for your sins” dogma that you may be familiar with.  (If you’d like to discuss Baptism further, you may send an e-mail to janice@janicelynch.com)

Once through the transition, your soul is online and ready for action.  Once you have sorted things through and know who you are becoming, then forward action can begin.  The biggest part is getting through the transition phase.  So then what?

Then your soul can really shine.  You can be free of all your past burdens, fears, traumas, habits, and restrictions.  Life will continue to be a choice, yet you will have new ways in which to deal with life’s choices.  New tools of living.  In the past, perhaps all you had was a hammer in the past.  Something went wrong in your life, hit it.  Something needed changing, hit it.  Something was a frustration, hit it.  Now when something goes wrong, you not only have a hammer, you have a saw, and a level, and a shovel, and a nail gun, and an “On-site Contractor” who knows the ropes and that can help you and guide you through mistakes or errors in judgment.  The key is to remain willing to receive that guidance. 

So, how does one remain willing, and how does one receive that guidance.

Willingness is a gift from Source.  Ask for it and it will be given.  Even if you don’t feel willing enough to ask, ask for that first!  Just the asking opens the door for that power to come to you.  Once willingness is yours, take the next right step.  Remember that the very first step is to be gentle with one’s self and stay out of judgment.  Oh, rats!  I just did the manipulation thing again.  Oh, crud, I was rude again.  I let someone walk all over me again.  Let it go!  You get to have do-overs!  You are in the process of finding new ways of dealing with things.  Knowing when we screw up is a source of information, not a source of condemnation.  With that information, figure out how your soul would have liked you to have handled it.

HINT!!!  Big HINT:  Your soul would have you stay in a place of power without taking someone else’s power in the process.  What is my intent?  If my intent is to be right, then automatically someone else has to be wrong.  That’s a win/lose.  The soul reaches for win/win.  If my intent is to be honorable, then even if someone else doesn’t like that, I can be okay with it because they get to have choice as to their response.  As long as my soul can maintain its honor and clarity, while allowing someone else the opportunity to maintain their honor and clarity, I’m on the right path.  Tricky stuff, but the soul will not be happy with less. 

If one has always just been the workhorse at work while others slack off, the soul will no longer allow that behavior.  You will be required to do an honest day’s work for an honest day’s pay – you will not be allowed to become a slacker like the others.  Yet, you will no longer be allowed to give your life force away unjustly!

The soul will begin to demand fair treatment of self – health-wise, work-wise, relationship-wise, and spiritual-wise.  Slacking, overwork, under appreciation, lack of gratitude either by yourself or others towards you will no longer serve the soul experiencing Living Reincarnation.

So, when the soul will no longer tolerate old behavior and one is unwilling to change, or unable to change, a great conflict arises.  Without understanding this process, a person may feel that suicide is the answer.  The pain is too great, I cannot do it differently, I’ve got to get out of this.  If you are experiencing thoughts of suicide, take a new look!  Seek some support from a professional and begin the process of self-examination that will lead you out of that territory.  It is a slippery slope best dealt with immediately.  Waiting only puts you deeper at risk because thoughts become a broken record. 

One needn’t perish to begin anew!  Yes, the old must go!  Yet, the new is only a few thought processes away and worth the effort of exploration.  The pain you may be feeling is an accurate response of your soul to your circumstances.  A change is due and necessary.  Even if you don’t feel you have the tools with which to make the change, those tools become readily available to the willing heart. 

Again, pray for willingness and pick up the phone and call for help.  Check your local phone book for hotline numbers.  Perhaps they cannot help you with the Living Reincarnation process, yet they CAN help you stabilize while you allow your soul to achieve it’s destiny.

I, too, had thoughts of suicide and a plan in place.  I was living 10 minutes at a time.  “If the pain is still here in 10 minutes, I’ll do it.”  Then giving myself 10 more minutes, then 10 more minutes.  I lived days like that.  Then I changed it to 5 minutes.  I am ever-so-grateful that my husband, Phil, felt my pain and called me at that moment.  I got help.  I took a new look.  I made some changes. 

Now, everyday is a blessing and a delight.  18 years ago I would not, nor could not, believe that I could be happy, much less love life.  Today, I am grateful for each new day and pray that I’m given many more because there is so much more that my soul has yet to accomplish this lifetime.  This may be true for you, or someone you know who may be considering suicide.

The Living Reincarnation phenomenon does not lead everyone to suicide.  It can be confusing and disorienting, yet most can make the transition quite well by themselves or more easily with a little assistance.

The key is listening to the soul.  The soul is honorable, fair, trustworthy, truthful and filled with integrity.  Webster defines integrity this way.  “1. the quality or state of being complete; unbroken condition; wholeness; entirety   2. The quality or state of being unimpaired; perfect condition; soundness  3. the quality or state of being of sound moral principle; uprightness, honesty and sincerity.”  When our soul experiences completeness of being - when we are congruent within ourselves, then our soul is free to fulfill its destiny and we become whole, revitalized, and at peace.

If you find yourself frustrated with life, discouraged, listless, weary, drudging through life, you may be in the throes of a Living Reincarnation.  Ponder it.  Wonder your way through your experience.  (“I wonder what this is about?”  You’ll get an answer either from Spirit directly or from a sign or something said to you.)

Just know that it is your soul reaching for excellence.  It is your soul unable to live with past self-destructive behaviors.  It is your soul reaching to be heard.  It is your soul becoming aware.  It is your soul on its path to advancement.

Bibliomancy

I happen to be a real fan of the Bible.  As a Mystic Christian, I appreciate the mysteries upon mysteries held within that book.  In my class, DeCoding the Bible, it is important for me to reveal some of the mysteries that go unnoticed by modern religion. 

One thing I like to do for myself, is Bibliomancy.  Bibliomancy is defined as a “prediction based upon a Bible verse or literary passage chosen at random” – Webster’sNew World Dictionary 2nd Edition.  For me, the process begins with a prayer
regarding a subject and then allowing the Bible to open up where ever and read what is held on those pages.  It seems really strange, yet every time I do that, I get a message that is right on for the issue upon which I offered prayer.

Today, I found myself in the Old Testament.  I was led to read about Solomon and all his riches and his wisdom.  I was particularly drawn to a passage that noted how Solomon  was preparing to build the Temple and taking great care to obtain the best workmen and the best materials.  I am unable to find the passage now.  I remember reading in Isaiah about something else earlier, but cannot recall where I was reading about Solomon.  I had dismissed the Solomon passage because I couldn’t imagine what that had to do with my prayer request.  (silly me!)  I felt led to open to the New Testament and . . . you guessed it . . . it was about building the spiritual temple.

The New Testament passage is Ephesians 2.  I find the whole chapter very thought provoking and interesting.  Paul is telling those that are not of Jewish descent that the wall between the Jews (God’s chosen people of old) and the Gentiles no longer exists.  We are the same.  We are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens “of the household of God.” 

So what?  So that we can all be apart of the spiritual building fitly framed together that grows into a holy temple in the Lord.  Here’s the verse that really zinged!  “In whom you also are built together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.”

We fit together for a habitation of God through the Spirit.  God – Higher Power, The Universal Mind, Creator, Great Spirit, lives in us through the Spirit.  How cool is that!

So, why was I led to read about Solomon?  Because Solomon was taking great care to select the greatest craftsmen.  These craftsmen were so good that even today, the Wailing Wall in Jerusalem still stands.  The stones are so finely cut that they have stood the test of time.  The stones fit together.  So, too, those of us who live a spiritual life also fit together.  We can set aside our egos and our need to be right, and we can each play a vital role in the expression of Spirit. 

How are we cut to fit?  It is the trials of life that chip off the jagged edges.  It is the prayers for our own awareness that smoothes out the rough spots. 

Not every one who suffers or prays has those smooth edges.  It is the ones that live through the trials with faith and trust.  We don’t have to know the why, we just know one unmitigated truth:  We are loved.  If we know that and truly believe that, then every trial or difficulty is for our good or for us to bring goodness into a situation. 

Ephesians Chapter 4 tells us that we each have our own part to play.  We are called to walk a worthy path.  Each of us uniquely different, yet each of us fitting together into the whole though love.  We are “fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplies according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, making increase of the body to the building up of itself in love.”

Each joint each piece supplies the whole.  When we do what we came here to do, we add our measure to increase the body so that it builds itself up in love.  Love is the key.  Love is the mortar.  Love is the tool.  Love is the answer. 

We may not see our part in a situation.  We may get caught up in someone else’s Karmic tidepool.  They created a mess and by nature of our relationship with them, we, too can get caught up in the backwater.  It is how we handle such things that brings peace, prosperity, love, and joy into the world. 

I may get exasperated at being caught up ‘again,’ or frustrated that I am drawn into a place I did not choose for myself.  Yet, I am loved.  That is an unchangeable fact.  What am I to do, then?  What is my role in the situation?  I may wish to pray for guidance and open the Good Book (or the Big Book or any other sacred scripture) to see what is written there for me to see.  Bibliomancy.

I know this truth:  I am loved and so is the other person who may be causing me harm or discomfort.  Love is a part of the process.  Love is the answer and the reason.  I can choose to allow love to smooth out my rough spots, or I may choose to be resistant and angry and hostile and retain my jagged energy that does not fit into the larger whole.  (And wonder why I’m the outsider, perhaps.)

Ephesians continues to tell us that when we fit together and work together for a greater good, we walk a worthy path.  It grieves the Spirit when we live in bitterness and anger and harsh speaking.  Conversely, being kind and tenderhearted brings joy to all, including the spiritual realm. 

Chapter 4 verse 23 tells us to be renewed in the spirit of your mind and to put on the new man (translate that to “new person” – the Bible is politically incorrect, but holds great spiritual Truths in spite of its linguistic heritage.)  We can make a change in an instant.  We can ask for assistance to make that change.

If I am not fitting in well with others, I must ask myself a few questions.  Is it me that has the rough edges?  Am I smooth and not able to fit against someone else’s rough spots?  As we let love guide us, we can recognize when we must move on because we do not fit or when we must let love ease the joints between me and another. 

Love can be defined as “tender goodwill.”  I ask that I learn to respond to life and life’s circumstances, including the people within those circumstances, with tender goodwill.  My edges feel smoother already!

Mystical Journey Meditation
Presented to the Divine Fellowship on 5/6/07

Proverbs 23:7 As a man thinks in his heart, so is he.

Hebrews 5 12-14  . . .  But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.

Proverbs 4:23 Watch over your heart with all diligence,
for from it flow the springs of life.

Psalms 44:21 He (Spirit, God, Higher Power, Creator – whatever that is for you) knows the secrets of the heart.

The heart has its own wisdom.  We can access this information easily.  Just pay attention to our ring-true.  Usually, we allow our mind to override our ring-true or we don’t even listen to it.  Sometimes our mind and our senses have been conditioned to believe things that are untrue.  When we spend most of our waking life in our heads, we leave our heart out of most of our decisions.  Truly unfortunate, since the heart is what decides and the brain is merely for sorting data so the heart can weigh its choices.  We overwork our minds and hush our hearts. 

Perhaps we have forgotten to listen, or we have been conditioned to believe a lie, or we block out what our hearts are trying to tell us.  Through a guided meditation, we can access our hearts and the wisdom that lies within.  The key is to trust what we experience rather than what we expect.  You will be given some choices.  Rather than trying to figure out what would be most advantageous to you or what you think might be a more prestigious choice, go with your first response.  Your heart will reveal to you what you need to know at this time.

Spirit has had a hand in this meditation.  I was shown pictures and options and their meanings revealed.  I’ve asked specifically what each symbol means and have received a specific answer.  Spirit is at work helping your heart speak to you.  Even if you don’t particularly LIKE a particular response, if it is your first response, go with it.  Spirit is at work here.  Spirit is revealing to you some great truths about yourself. 

So, whether you see the choices as I speak them, or you “feel” the choices.  Select the one that rings true for you.  Even if you say to yourself, “Oh, I see a horse.  I didn’t want a horse, I wanted a butterfly!”  Go with the horse.  Let Spirit speak though your heart to you today.  Really listen.

You will be in a shallow meditative state so you can open your eyes and make a note of your answers as we go along.  Let us begin.
Take a few deep breaths.
Allow yourself to release the cares and worries of the day.
Find yourself walking through a large, open meadow.
Feel the sun on your face and a gentle breeze.
Have a sense that today is a special day and become open to a new experience.
You realize that you have been waiting for a special experience and this day may hold that experience for you.
You see a large bird or something flying towards you.
As it comes closer, you realize how truly large it is and for an instant you may feel a twinge of fear.  Then you recognize that this is the experience that you’ve been waiting for and fear turns into wonderment.  As this large winged being comes closer you is it a:
1 Dragon;   Pegasus;  or Griffon (winged lion)?

The winged being lands near you.  You see a great gentleness in its eyes.  Any fear you may have felt vaporizes within its tender gaze.  It offers to take you on a journey.  Feeling it is right to do so, you climb onboard.

The being leaps into the air and you enjoy the flight.  You have a sense of going fast, yet you are unbuffeted by any wind and you can see and breathe easily.  You see the ground fall away below you and yet your are totally fearless.  It feels good to be here.  It feels wonderful to finally have the experience you’ve been looking for.

After awhile, you feel a shift.  You realize the being is setting itself for what it really came here to show you.  You brace yourself knowing that your are being taken upon an amazing journey that begins now.

Together, you and your winged being fly above the clouds.  You continue to ascend, higher and higher.  The earth is getting quite small now.  You slip out into space yet you continue to be warm and comfortable.  You can breathe easily as if the winged being is wrapped in a protective environment.  This is an amazing journey indeed.

You journey through the galaxy and past many stars.  You see a planet very much like the earth, but different.  This is the destination and you find yourself filled with child-like anticipation.

As you approach the planet’s surface, your see the land is covered in:
2 Mist;    Grass;    Flowers

The winged being lands gently on this strange and wonderful world.  As you dismount, someone arrives to greet you.  You seem to know that this person has been waiting for you.  It is a
3 Shaman;   Being of Light;  Robed Official

Though you don’t understand the words being spoken, you recognize that you are being welcomed.  The greeter offers you a staff.  Embedded into the staff is:
4 A stone;   A coin;    A jewel
The greeter speaks and the embedded object activates and you can understand the language perfectly.  Does the object:
5 Glow;    Hum or vibrate;  Spin or turn

Your greeter now guides you to a large building.  There are three stairways to the entrance.  Do you take the stairway to the:
6 Left;     Right;    Center

The entrance opens up into a great hall filled with joyous people.  Everyone is glad to see you and they bring you gifts.  Do they bring:
7 Balloons;   Flowers;   Various gifts

You greet these people graciously and receive their gifts with gratitude.  Your guide motions for you to follow.  You are shown a place to leave the gifts of the people and you realize that those gifts will be bundled onto your winged being for your return flight.  You let go of these gifts knowing they are yours without question.

You are led down a long hallway that opens into a very large cavern.  This cavern is filled with every kind of crystal.  You feel the energy of the cavern.  Drink in its power and its peace.

Your guide now expresses urgency for you to look carefully.  You are instructed to take a crystal back with you.  You feel a sense of the importance of this crystal and know you will take care to choose and harvest one that will be right for you.  As you scan the large cavern, one of the crystals lights up for you.  It is a beautiful color.  It is:
8 Purple; (red, blue, pink) Yellow; (orange, green) Clear Quartz (diamond)

As you harvest this crystal from the cavern, you realize that other crystals have been removed and small objects have been put in place of the crystal.  You look for something that would serve as a marker for the absent crystal.  If place of the crystal you leave:
9 A coin;    A watch;   A key

Your guide adjusts your staff and the crystal begins to communicate with you.  Does the crystal communicate with you by:
10 Speaking;   Touching your senses;  Showing you visuals

You have a deep sense of the importance of this message.  You know you will understand this message fully when you spend more time with the crystal.  Your guide gives you a pouch in which to carry the crystal.  Is it:
11 Hand tooled leather;  Skillfully embroidered silk; Fur or hide

You are taken back to your winged being.  Gifts have been loaded onto the being and it is ready for the return flight.  You say farewell to your guide knowing you are welcome to return at any time.

The return flight is swift and sure.  Soon you are back on planet earth and back in the meadow. 

As you dismount, you and your winged being share a deep moment of connection.  You feel the power, love, and deep commitment this being has for you.  You are given a token by which it can be summand for other journeys.  You are given:
12 A ring;    A necklace/amulet;  An arm band/bracelet

You receive this token with gratitude.  Know this.  The token can work in the reverse and you can be summand to join the winged being for another mystical journey.  For now, you bid your winged being farewell.  As you watch it take flight and grow smaller in the distance, you find yourself being drawn back into this place – into this time – fully present and fully aware.

This journey is symbolic in nature.  The symbols were given to me and so were their interpretations.  As always, if you have a different feeling about the symbol, weight that to make sure it fits for you.  There is no right or wrong here - just possible insights for your own self-discovery.
